Two New Sports Bars Open on Granville Street

Two new sports bars on Granville Street open their doors just in time for the NHL playoffs. These first class sports bars provide canucks fans with a great venue to watch the canucks kick ass in playoffs!

The first, is Forum Sports Bar located where the old Buffalo club once stood at 1163 Granville Street, Vancouver BC (between Davie the Helmecken). While open during the Olympics, they had their Grand Opening last week and are ready for action.

The second is Cinema Public House which first opened it’s doors last week! Cinema is another Donnelly Pub that will no doubt become a Vancouver never-fail sports bar called at the Corner of Granville and Smithe.

Both sports bars serve quality pub fare, have plenty of flat screen tvs for plenty of sports viewing options and if you feel like making it a long night, they have DJs on weekends with dance floor!

Of course, these venues will be the hotspot for canuck playoff games so get there early!

I went to Forum sports bar for a comedy night a few Mondays back. I found it to be pretty classic Granville Street. Question: Do we really need another sports bar with cheesey blue lights and cute servers in semi soccer uniforms? Maybe. I don’t anticipate the bar being empty if only for patrons’ lack of quality options in the area. I myself will probably be back. However I was surprised that my bartender didn’t know how to make a gin martini. Just strange. The comedy was wicked btw!
