Sandbar is one of the best places in town for a seafood dinner but what I love most about this place is it’s cozy atmosphere. It’s partly tucked under the Granville Street bridge but still has some great views of false creek. Usually, there is a piano playing in the background and – sound the violins – it’s just gives a warm feeling on a dreary rainy Vancouver night :)
Sandbar attracts the local yuppies looking to enjoy a nice meal out and, more often in summer, it’s also filled with tourists who flock to Granville Island.
It’s a pretty unique layout with 3 floors and 2 bars. Their “Crush Wine Lounge” has over 1800 wine bottles and features live piano Sunday through Thursday. The very top has is the “Teredo Bar” that has dancing on Fridays and Saturdays.
