Backstage Lounge on Granville island is a small and quaint bar attached to the Arts Club Theatre and across from Theatre Sports. The Backstage Lounge has several live music acts that play all throughout the week on a small stage in the center of the bar. During the day, the Backstage Lounge a good spot on the island to grab a pint and sit down for a quick bite. At night, while most of Granville Island sleeps, it’s a low key place to catch some local talent or small touring band with a young 20-something following.

In summer, the patio at the Backstage Lounge is usually filled with tourists who come to Granville Island for the popular local market and boutique shops. Though most of the patio is shaded by the Granville bridge, you get a nice view of false creek.
