The Atlantic Trap & Gill is a place that comes to mind when I have friends from out of town visiting because on a Thursday and Saturday: live maritime music, table slapping, awesome staff – you can’t go wrong! They’ve been solid for keeping those two nights for YEARS now, too.

The Trapp used to be at the corner of Seymour and Davie but in early 2009, they moved to a new location at Robson and Beatty right across from GM place so it will get busy on Canuck and BC Lions Nights.

I’ve been down the new location and although I sigh a little bit to think of how much I loved the old place with it’s cramped quarters and good people watching, the staff are still great and the east coasters still seem to flock to this place for a piece of home.
