Opening in July 2009, it’s one of the newest hip hang-outs in Gastown. Open Wednesday through Sunday, the Diamond serves tapas and one-of-a-kind cocktail concoctions. The Diamond’s dining space is nice and open with the high lofty ceilings and big corridors that are unique to Gastown’s heritage buildings. Most tables are set for two to share plates which makes for a great place to catch up with a friend or to bring a date. Though, if you plan ahead or make a reservation, the Diamond has some room for smaller groups to dine together.

Inside, a sunken dining room with cobbled stone brick walls and oil paintings give it an old tavern feel where Commercial Drive residents come with friends to share plates. On the other side, you’re welcome to sit at a long bar and sip on a pint. Note beer specials on Canuck game nights!
