Forum Sports Bar is a premier sports bar with a chic late night atmosphere. Located in the Granville Entertainment district where the old Buffalo Club once stood, Forum Sports Bar is right in the heart of Vancouver’s busy nightlife scene.

Forum Sports Bar offers a full kitchen, open for lunch daily and brunch on weekends. Forum will be showing all sports and pay-per-view games (including all UFC fights and Canucks games) on four 120 inch projector screens and fifteen 58 inch high def flat screen tvs throughout the bar.

Forum Sports Bar will be the Granville strip’s hot spot where pro athletes in town will be making appearances.

After the games are done, Forum will offer night club entertainment with a dance floor and resident DJ Storm.

Me and Julio

Me and Julio is a modern Mexican kitchen and cantina located on Commercial Drive. Inside Me and Julio you’ll find a fun a playful room with a bamboo roofed cantina bar off to the side and star shaped lights twinkling all around the room.

Me and Julio serves up a “siesta” and dinner daily with tasty Mexican food and fun cocktails (starting at 3pm). On weekends, it does a full breakfast, lunch and dinner. It always gives me the feeling of being on vacation whenever I go =)

Then, outside, Me and Julio has a small patio if you want to enjoy a warm summer day with a fruity umbrella drink!

Cafe Deux Soleils

Cafe Deux Soleils on Commercial Drive is a mix of coffee shop, vegetarian cafe and bar. You can’t miss Cafe Deux Soleil from the street with a bright floral mural covering the front. Inside, is one open room with brightly painted walls with baked goods and coffee served in the corner.

At night, Cafe Deux Soleil features a live “something” starting at 9pm (poetry, open mic, etc). A few regular nights run during the week and other times, it’s a special act coming through (check the website). They are open til midnight so come early for the show!

Falconetti’s East Side Grill

Falconetti’s is small and friendly neighborhood bar on Commercial drive. The bar opens to a narrow corridor with sets of tall 2-person tables on one side and bar on the other side. Follow to the back and you’ll find a room for bigger groups to enjoy food and live music showcased on a small stage. On canuck nights, Falconetti’s lowers a big screen for everyone to catch the action.

Always exciting news for Vancouverites: Falconetti’s will open a patio in late 2009!

Subeez Cafe

Subeez is a funky restaurant and bar in Yaletown. Unlike the upscale and fancy pants clubs and lounges in Yaletown, Subeez sets itself apart from the rest by showcasing intriguing local art and eclectic decor. It attracts the film industry folks, web personalities and other arty and creative types. On weekends, Subeez has djs spinning at night for a lounge setting.

Subeez has a full service kitchen offering a tasty breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. You can come with a group of friends, grab a booth and enjoy a casual and non-pretentious atmosphere. If you’re not up for food, Subeez also has more of a lounge area in one corner, right beside the entrance, with high tables and bar stools. In the summer, you can enjoy food outside at one of their pick nick tables on the sidewalk.

Havana breathes Commercial Drive. A chill cuban restaurant, art gallery and theater couldn’t be more in tune with the atmosphere, vibe and attitude that is Commercial Drive. For this, it’s no surprise that Havana is packed most nights of the week. Either local residents, Latin visitors or hungry brunch seekers fill the small one room restaurant. In summer, the Havana patio is, hands down, the best for people watching.
