Salt Tasting Room is a quaint wine bar tucked away in a Gastown off the beaten track. You’d probably never find this place but word of mouth spread quickly with awards, accolades and Vancouver foodie buzz. “Tasting Room” is well chosen but that’s exactly what it is – a small and quaint “room” where you come to sample food and wine – quite a unique experience. The way it works: you get to select 3 dish pairings of cheese, meat and a condiment. You have 10 options to choose from and the staff can pair wine for each! After dinner, it’s a short stroll to other popular bars in Gastown to continue the night.
