On the Edge Pub sits at the corner of Pender and Columbia at the very edge of Gastown and a couple of blocks west of Main Street. Inside, the pub is juxtaposed to the rough and tumble eastside streets with a newly renovated interior, polished marble floors, high ceilings and classy furnishings.
On the Edge is one of the many Gastown revitalizations we’ve seen in preparation for the Woodwards facelift to complete in time for the 2010 games. On the Edge Pub will be an obvious choice for people in the new Woodwards District which will have students going to SFU School for Contemporary Arts and residents living in the condo development.
Locals will be going to the Edge to watch the canucks games, UFC fights or just to chill out and munch on some good comfort food (3 words: Short Rib Poutine). Future plans include live music acts with a good space for bands on a raised 2nd level in the corner of the bar.
