Here’s a list of some fun game nights taking place in the bars and pubs in Vancouver. You can either challenge your intellect, challenge your music knowledge, chill with a board game or show off your xbox skills – there is something for every nerd at heart!

Monday Nights: Quiz Night @ the Cascade

Every Monday The Cascade holds a British style trivia night. This night is a favorite so be on time! Registration time is from 6:00-6:30pm and start time is 7:00pm. Maximum of 4 members to a team. Quiz Entry fee: $2 per person where all proceeds donated to local charity of the winning team’s choice. Even if you can’t answer the questions – the polenta fries are awesome!

Monday Nights: Martini and Board Game Nights @ Central Bistro

Head on out to Central Bistro in the West End where you can sip cheap martinis and play your favourite board game. Bring your own board game favourites or use games provided. Get your game on anytime after 5pm.

Wednesday Nights: Trivia @ The Calling

Pub Stumpers on Wednesday nights at the Calling is a popular trivia night hosted by two friendly Aussies who calle themselves “Good Guy Inc.”. Trivia starts at 7pm and goes til 10pm with an ongoing group tally of points for several rounds of play. Each round of trivia alternates between your regular trivial pursuit type of question to a round where you test your music knowledge by identifying the name of the song and artist to music being played. Specials are $3.90 domestic sleeves and $4 wings.

Last Wednesday of the Month: Trivia Night @ The Anza Club

Get out to The Anza Club for their long ongoing trivia night held on the last Wednesday of the month in their downstairs Tiki lounge.

Wednesday Nights: Music Bing @ The Elephant Walk

The Elephant Walk holds a weekly Music bingo night giving away big prizes to winners (champagne bottles and even trips to Vegas!). The fun starts at 7:30pm. Each player gets their own card with the song title and artist. Simply listen to a snippet of the song and dab away! You get 3 cards throughout the night with music themes from oldies to popular hip hop.

Every 2nd Friday: Video Game Tournaments @ The Eldorado Lounge

Just starting up in 2010 is a Video Game night at the Eldorado at Kingsway and Nanaimo. Games include NHL 2010 for Xbox, FIFA Soccer, NHL 94 for SNES and DJ Hero. Play to win cash prizes. No cover and hip hop music playing.
