Five Sixty Club at 560 Seymour Street is one of Vancouver’s most ambitious clubs with 4 floors and a 4 million dollar price tag. What was once the A&B Sound on Seymour now houses Five Sixty Club – a stylish and sophisticated New York style club that tries to infuse some culture into the Vancouver club scene.
Five Sixty Club is an experience you won’t be able to find anywhere else in Vancouver. With several lounges, gallery spaces and bars littered on every floor, you’ll find a unique vibe at every spot. The main room shows live music and Djs 7 days a week with a sizable dance floor and VIP room overhead.
560 Club aims to be different from the typical Vancouver nightclub. The owner Vince Alvaro, says in a article by the Vancouver Sun: “We’re focusing on the arts community as patrons,” he explains. “People involved in film, fashion, music, the visual arts, design, that type of thing.”

Went here last night for halloween 2012, What a sh*t show, If i could give no stars, or even minus stars I WOULD!
Horrible front door staff. Girl at the counter inside with wristbands and one of the clip board girls, totally unprofessional. If I was the owner, and saw this, I would have fired those three people for treating paying clients like that for no good reason at all. A lot of money goes into promoting to get people at your venue, but then to have staff that work for you, piss those same people off and see that they dont come back, makes zero sense. I can understand if it was a hostile crowd, or people causing problems, but it was a pretty easy laid back group of people out to have a good time, and just waiting to go inside, but lost for directions, because.. there wasn’t any.
Showed up, was told to see girls with clipboards for VIP, so I did that, She tells me she will take us in once she takes the group ahead of us in first, which was fine, we waited where she instructed us to wait, then the “head bouncer” comes up to us and yells “VIP get in that f*cken line”, I then tell him I’ve spoken to one of the girls, and she advised us to wait where we were standing (thinking that this was normal procedure and he would respond with “ok”) He yells back “I dont give a f*ck what she said, I’m running this effin show, and i said get the fuck back in line”… seriously? Extremely hostile.
Inside, more yelling and screaming at PAYING CUSTOMERS like we were prison inmates continued… “everyone shut the f*ck up!!, Get to this effin side, get the eff over there, move the eff out of the way” SCREAAAMING at everyone just waiting for the wristbands.
There was no organization, no professionalism, and to be honest, the party and “VIP” if you want to call it that.. down right sucked. These guys had no idea what they were doing.. Never ever will myself and our group and Im sure other people that did experience this world class shit service go back. IF this is how they treat paying guests, good luck staying around an open. I didn’t pay to get screamed and yelled at. There’s a better way of getting a message across and organizing people.. IVE DONE IT
I read previous reviews about this place before going, and they said things similar to what Im saying, but I never imagined it was that bad. I’ve been all over the world for nightlife, and VIP and Regular admission, never in my life have I seen such garbage, totally ruined the mood for a lot of people. Stay clear of this place.

I totally agree with the other review on here. Five Sixty is a great physical location and has some great acts in, but having to wait an HOUR in line when you’ve already bought a ticket is bogus. Staff at the line were not managing the situation at all, and were pissed off at folks for this.
I have had some good nights here in spite of the management, but unless there’s an act you’ve got to see, you less likely to get frustrated elsewhere.

THE MOST TERRIBLE experience we had at your club, Club 560, on a Saturday night. I went to this club to celebrate my friend’s birthday and my sister tagged along with me. We don’t usually go to these kinds of places. I just wanted to be there for my friend’s birthday and to see what this club is like – we’ve never been to this club.
At the entrance, we had to show a piece of identity, a photo ID. I got in quick and easy, but not my sister. We are both over 21 years old and both mature individuals. The guy at the front won’t let my sister enter because she doesn’t look like the picture on her photo ID. It was a government-issued ID. We have used this same ID FOR EVERYTHING, you name it: to buy cigarettes and alcohol, to buy lotto tickets, to show as proof of identity at restaurants, pubs and other clubs. We use this same ID at the airport, at the US-Canada border office, at government agencies such as CRA and RCMP – ANYWHERE. We did not bring any other photo ID since we use this ID everywhere without being rejected, no problem at all. This is ODDLY, the very first time. And that guy expects us to go back home to get another ID? Well, unfortunately, we don’t live in Vancouver.
We felt very discriminated and offended – racially, most especially. We are Asians, and we look really young – and not just in our IDs. This is just GREATLY UNBELIEVABLE. That photo ID is absolutely her face. IT IS HER.
FYI, people are capable of changing even within weeks. My sister lost weight, grew out her bangs and put makeup on that night. No one looks exactly like themselves in their photo ID. I, myself, don’t look like my photo ID having a totally new haircut and hair color and makeup on, and I gained weight and plucked my eyebrows. Seriously. That guy let me in and not my sister? We both have government issued IDs, which are both up-to-date with our birthdates on our IDs. We also showed two other extra IDs – a credit card and a care card.
It was EXTREMELY DISCRIMINATIVE to treat my sister as such. It was one of the worst ever prejudice and mistreatment we have experienced in Vancouver. We have never experienced such an unfair, biased and subjective treatment and humiliation. We were immensely offended. I cannot believe such a place would treat us this way when we get really pleasant and fair treatment in other places and establishments. Needless to say, we are NEVER going back to this club. Well, what do they care anyway? I’m sure they won’t even get bothered by this incident as much as they did not care about us that night. I just had to tell this story and hopefully no one else will get mistreated and misjudged like this.
