Looking for a bar with a good 80s and 90s night in Vancouver? What’s better than dancing all night to classics that we all know and love. Well here’s a few that got all that… and a bag of chips :)
Tuesday Nights at Republic
80s and Ladies Night
This bar night is playing all the classics from Depeche Mode, New Order, The Cure, Duran Duran and INXS but it actually gets better – they’re performed LIVE by One Night Stand. Conveniently located right in the Granville Entertainment District, this is a popular one.
Fridays and Saturdays at Library Square
Library Square has been in the one bar in Vancouver that’s been dedicated to their 80s and 90s weekly parties. The music is great and it attracts a large crowd to pack in the dance floor. It’s also a refreshing cover charge of around $12 compared to alternative dance places in Vancouver.
Fridays are 90′s night “Show Me Love” feat. Anaconduh! and Guest.
Saturdays are 80′s night “The Affair” feat. DJ Ernold Sane and P Deady.
Saturdays at the Met
The Met is gastown’s main attraction for hipsters and other types looking for a chill place far outside a the “club” label. They have several popular bar nights during the week including their “One Night Stand Saturdays” that plays 80s classics.
Sundays and Tuesdays at the Bourbon
The Bourbon’s Sunday nights are a big 80s night in Vancouver with DJ Sugar Brown. On Tuesdays, they’ve also started up a 90s night that’s up and coming.
